Terms and Conditions of Sale

Homestead Greenhouses/ Wisconsin Greenhouse Company (“we”/”our”/ “us”) is committed to clear and professional customer communication. These terms outline the policies and expectations for our online sales of products and services.

1. Placing an order

Our office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, CST.

At checkout, you will have a chance to review your information before submitting your order. Please closely check your shipping address and product details in the cart.

We can add to your order after you have checked out, so long as your order has not yet shipped. Please reach out if you need our assistance with adding to your greenhouse order.

2. Payment Terms

Payment terms are as follows:

  • Custom and special orders: 50% down and 50% due upon shipment.
  • In-stock orders: Full payment due upon order.

Balances unpaid after 30 days will incur 15.5% APR interest and shipments will be held until paid.

3. Order Changes and Cancellations

We allow cancellation up to two business days after purchase for unshipped orders of stock greenhouse models. Once the order has been prepared for freight shipment, we cannot cancel.

If an item is found to be out-of-stock at the time of your order, you will be notified in a timely manner and may cancel your order for a full refund. 

Order changes may result in additional charges. Price changes will be agreed upon before proceeding.

Cancellations on special order and custom greenhouses may result in forfeited deposits and/ or cancelation fees. 

Due to the custom nature of these products, returns are not standard and are reviewed case by case.

4. Shipping and Delivery

Customers are responsible for accepting deliveries and offloading materials unless a prearranged freight offloading service has been arranged and paid for in advance of delivery. Customer must be present for delivery.

Greenhouses arrive via freight delivery service. Prior to shipping, Homestead Greenhouses will provide crate weights and dimensions to help our customers prepare for offloading. Please note:

  • Drivers will not assist with unloading or drive onto private driveways. Delivery is typically made at the curb, and customers must be present to receive the shipment.
  • Offloading typically requires 2-4 people.
  • All freight deliveries require scheduled appointments. Homestead Greenhouses will provide tracking information to schedule a convenient delivery appointment. 

Additional Delivery Services

We offer the following additional services in many areas. Please contact a Homestead representative for more information:

  • Time-Critical Delivery: Time-critical services can ensure the fastest possible delivery.
  • Forklift Offload: The driver brings a flatbed truck and a forklift to offload. This service is not available in all locations and must be pre-arranged.
  • Lift Gate Service: The driver brings a box truck and uses a mechanical rear deck to offload. *Lift gate service is unavailable for items over 88 inches in length or weighing more than 3,000 lbs.*

All additional delivery services must be requested before the shipment leaves our facility.

Upon delivery

  • Inspect materials upon delivery and note any visible damage with the driver in writing.
  • Check for hidden damage within 48 hours of delivery for freight damage claims.

5. Installation

Installation is not included but is offered on many of our greenhouses. For an installation quote, please reach out to our office at https://www.homesteadgreenhouses.com/contact/

If quoted, installation applies only to a prepared foundation provided by the customer and covers:

  • Anchoring the frame to concrete.
  • Erecting the frame.
  • Installing glazing and equipment.
  • Applying sealants.
  • A one-year workmanship warranty.

Installation excludes foundation preparation, electrical, plumbing, and flashing unless otherwise specified. A detailed “Watertight Building Expectations” guide is available. Installation timelines depend on crew/material availability, site preparedness, and weather. Confirm specifics with your sales representative.

    6. Taxes

    Sales tax is not included unless specified. Customers are responsible for understanding applicable local, county, or state taxes. Please discuss tax questions with a sales representative.

    7. Drawings and Engineering

    Engineering stamps are not included. Carefully check the standard load capacities for snow and wind for the model you intend to purchase. 

    If your local governance requires engineering stamped drawings, in most cases this can be arranged at an additional cost. 

    Engineering recommends that customers remove snow and ice from structures to prevent damage. Heating structures during snowstorms is recommended.

    8. Limited Warranty

    You will be provided with the full manufacturer’s warranty at the time of purchase for your items. For items warranted by the manufacturer, contact Homestead Greenhouses by Wisconsin Greenhouse Company to begin any warranty work. 

    Installation workmanship provided by our workers is covered for one year.

    9. Exclusions

    Unless noted, the following are excluded from orders:

    • Site preparation, permits, zoning compliance, or state approvals.
    • Glazing code adherence.
    • Electrical, plumbing, dumpsters, trash removal, restrooms, and power sources.

    10. Lead Times

    In-stock items will ship within two weeks of placement of order. If an item is out-of-stock at the time of your order, we will contact you with an estimated arrival date. 

    Special order and custom products are made to order. Production, delivery, and installation timelines are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for crop damage or revenue loss caused by delays.

      11. Pricing & Price Match Policy

      Pricing
      We strive to provide competitive pricing while delivering high-quality products and exceptional service. Our pricing reflects manufacturer costs, freight, labor, and other internal factors and may change without notice.

      Price Match Policy
      If you find a lower price for an identical item from an online competitor, Homestead Greenhouses/ Wisconsin Greenhouse Company will match it if able. 

      To request a price match:

      1. Contact us with the competitor’s product link and a brief explanation of your request.
      2. Include your contact information.
      3. If the competitor’s total price (including shipping, handling, and taxes) is lower, we will adjust our price to match.

      Eligibility:

      • The item must be in stock on the competitor’s website.
      • The item must be new and identical in model, size, and color.
      • The competitor must be a U.S.-based authorized dealer. We reserve the right to verify their pricing and availability.
      • Auction sites or peer-to-peer marketplaces (e.g., eBay, Facebook Marketplace) are excluded.
      • All price match requests are at the sole discretion of Homestead Greenhouses/ Wisconsin Greenhouse Company.

      Agreement: By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
